This model emerged during the modernization and industrialization of East Asia, when Confucian values were selectively reinterpreted—distorted into tools of utilitarianism, hierarchy, and obedience. As a result, children in these societies are pushed early into the logic of survival, competition, and conformity. Before their personalities have time to mature, they are expected to perform, obey, and succeed—stripped of the right to dream, to explore, and to grow freely. In the end, they become high-performing but hollow instruments of the system—efficient, compliant, and exhausted.

If Confucian-influenced societies hope to escape the stagnation of civilization, the decline of innovation, and a growing spiritual crisis, they must:

  • Reform evaluation systems to ease the burden of early socialization
