The awakening of the soul is the deepest journey of exploration within each individual, a path from confusion to clarity, from constraint to freedom. It is not a sudden leap but a gradual, layered unfolding of self-awareness and transcendence. This process can be divided into three stages, each representing a profound shift in perception, guiding us toward a freer existence and a deeper understanding of both ourselves and the world.

First awakening: moving beyond illusion to uncover the true self

The initial awakening of the soul feels like opening one’s eyes for the first time. It offers fresh clarity about life and self, unveiling truths that were previously obscured. This stage is typically preceded by pivotal events or realizations that stir contemplation of life’s deeper meaning. But this shift is usually not a gradual process. Rather, it comes like a lightning strike—brief but powerful, sparking a complete change in one’s understanding.

It is a profound moment of realization that the self we have identified with is a construct—a product of past experiences, labels, and external influences, including expectations from society, family traditions, and cultural norms. What once seemed natural and unquestionable now reveals its true nature—temporary, arbitrary, and even absurd. This awareness marks the beginning of freedom from external attachments, as one discovers that their true self exists beyond all superficial identities.

This awakening leads to a profound understanding of what it truly means to be human, embracing one’s most authentic nature and uncovering the true essence of the soul. At the same time, it often brings inevitable struggles and a sense of loss, as the foundations of identity are shaken. Familiar roles, relationships, and beliefs that once provided comfort start to feel unstable, leaving behind a raw vulnerability exposed to the vastness of existence.

However, it is precisely through such a profound awakening that a person can break free from dependence on external factors, realizing that the true self transcends all superficial appearances. This awakening allows one to see the truth of both oneself and the world, unlocking inner potential and experiencing what it truly means to live with clarity and authenticity.

Second Awakening: A Deeper Insight into the World and the Search for Purpose

Building on the foundation of the first awakening, the soul transitions into its second awakening, shifting its focus from introspection to a broader understanding of the world. At this stage, the exploration of meaning extends beyond the individual, delving into societal structures, cultural significance, and the intricate connections between the self and the world around us.

This is the time when one’s perspective on the world becomes pure and refreshed. One begins to ponder: Who am I? Why do I exist? What is the significance of our lives in this vast universe, for society, and for human civilization? These questions are no longer distant philosophical inquiries but become deep reflections woven into daily life. One comes to understand that life is not simply the brief existence of an individual but an integral part of the historical flow, carrying the weight of cultural heritage.

The second awakening is not merely about personal liberation, but a deep realization of the connection between oneself and the world. This awakening allows us to see our role within the vast social system and cultural framework. It signifies the individual moving beyond the societal and cultural shaping of « human, » achieving a deeper, more authentic sense of self. The individual begins to search for their purpose in life and realizes that this purpose is not something forced upon them, but flows from deep within. As a result, one comes to genuinely appreciate life and embrace the world they call home.

Third awakening: reorientation and the power to change the world

The third awakening represents the deepest and most creative stage of spiritual awakening. It marks a profound transformation where an individual, having fully understood the relationship between self and the world, takes deliberate action to redefine identity, relationships, and even their entire environment. This stage is driven by a call from the soul’s deepest truth. It compels one to create, transform, and reshape both self and surroundings in alignment with their authentic purpose.

With the third awakening comes a powerful awakening of responsibility and mission. No longer confined to personal growth, individuals begin to contemplate their contributions to society and the collective human journey. By reevaluating and redefining their role and social connections, they evolve from mere participants in the world to conscious creators and agents of change. Thus, the awakening of the soul enters a new dimension, where one becomes not only a witness to life but also an architect of its unfolding.

This awakening signifies the moment when individuals take full responsibility for driving change in the world. No longer content with personal fulfillment, they seek to shape the world according to their vision—whether through their profession, artistic expression, community service, or everyday decisions. They come to realize that every effort has the potential to inspire progress, and each small change can guide others toward higher awareness and deeper understanding.

This transformation is not instantaneous but a continuous process of creation and reinvention. It demands heightened awareness, deep introspection, and unwavering determination. Along this path, individuals are not only reshaping the world but also experiencing a profound evolution of the soul, stepping into a grander, more expansive way of being. This is the soul’s most creative awakening—one that brings profound personal change while breathing new energy and hope into society and the world at large.

Conclusion

Spiritual awakening is a gradual unfolding that moves from personal understanding to social involvement, and finally to the conscious shaping of the world. Each stage represents a profound shift that leads the individual from constraint to liberation, from doubt to clarity, and from weakness to strength. Ultimately, this awakening uncovers the truth within, reveals one’s life mission, and empowers meaningful contributions to social and cultural advancement.

How the Socio-Civic Economy Reconstructs « Employment, Unemployment, and Basic Income Systems »

Kishou · Fév 5, 2026

Preface: Employment is Not Just a « Livelihood, » but a Basic License for Civic Existence In capitalist ideology, « employment » is brutally reduced to a purely instrumental equation: « Job → Income → Survival. » This logic chains human existence to capital’s hiring whims, systematically equating joblessness with social worthlessness. Unemployment becomes morally weaponized—branded as proof of personal inadequacy, market […]

Kishou · Fév 5, 2026
